I'm a graphic designer and museum collections specialist from the beautiful Fraser Valley. Using my BA in Anthropology from UBC and certificate in Graphic Design from BCIT, I use creative thinking to solve problems. Passionate about history and material culture, my enthusiasm for learning has led me to pick up photography, digital marketing, and web management skills. I am skilled with Adobe Creative Suite and PastPerfect Museum Software and have experience with Figma, Wordpress, and Acrobat. My love of the past influences my visual style, and I love fusing the modern with the historical in ways that create new meaning.
I believe museums play an important educational role as memory-making and knowledge-producing institutions, particularly as we continue to engage in truth & reconciliation and work toward decolonization. I aim to use design thinking to create educational experiences that are both compelling and inspiring and produce work that exhibits a high level of observation, thoughtfulness, and skill.
Graphic designers and museum interpreters share an essential goal: to tell engaging stories. While institutions have traditionally relied on text, images, and artifacts to communicate with the public, exhibits incorporating visual language and focusing on user experience often leave the most significant impact on their audiences. With impactful graphic design, museums are more successful at memorably sharing their message, encouraging visitors to return and learn more. With my background in museums and my knowledge as a graphic designer, I am equipped to tackle the unique challenges that your institution may face.
My diverse background can help support your business or next project through print, digital, multi-platform or mixed media:
Whether you're applying existing branding to new formats or creating a new style that helps you stand out, I can help you create a visual identity that tells your story.
It's hard to share your story if no one is there to hear it. I can help in the design of your websites and digital marketing campaigns that get your feet in the door and eyes on your content.
While much of the world is digital, print still has a strong presence —especially in museums. I can help you find a solution for your project, from brochures and catalogues to sponsorship packages and direct mail.
The foundation of museum exhibitions, I can create panels and infographics that add visual storytelling to your interpretive text, increasing accessibility and legibility for all.
Gift shops and online sales can add needed revenue for institutions of all sizes. Together, we can explore options for merchandising and designing products for your visitors and supporters.
Questions? Got a project in mind? I'd love to hear from you!
