Full Circle Beauty

Product & Packaging Design
For this personal project, I wanted to create a sustainable beauty brand that uses recycled/recyclable and compostable materials. It’s a growing market niche, but the design of eco-friendly products often tends to be very naturalistic. I wanted to bring some fun into the design of a sustainable brand that would be attractive to those who wouldn’t necessarily seek out sustainable products. I chose the name “Full Circle Beauty” to reflect the idea of a circular economy, with the tagline “fun for the whole planet.”
To create a fun and playful brand, I opted to use a bright colour palette. Because it is a “green” brand, I chose green for the accent but made it neon to expand beyond the traditional. I chose a contrasting purple for a complementary colour combination. For the logo typography, I chose a decorative serif with many flowing lines because it’s plant-like and naturalistic. I paired it with a clean sans-serif to create a minimal aesthetic.
For the shampoo, I chose a 100% recycled plastic bottle. The deodorant uses a compostable cardboard tube, and the lip mask is in a recyclable metal container. I wanted the logo to be the primary focus, with the rest of the design being clean and minimalistic to contrast with the bright colour palette.
Overall, I believe the project succeeds at making eco-friendly beauty fun. The colours are eye-catching, and the products would stand out on store shelves. In the future, I could expand the branding to different colour palettes to differentiate different product lines.
